Disney has been at the forefront of a lot of trading card news lately – especially with the recent Into the Inklands announcement for Lorcana – and there’s just been a brand new reveal which is sure to be causing a buzz amongst collectors.

A brand new Disney x Topps collaboration has just been revealed as a final celebration for the centennial year of Disney. This magnificent chrome collection features a whole host of iconic characters, and it’s a must-have for fans of both original and new Disney titles.

Here’s what you need to know about the Disney100 Topps chrome cards, including what the release contains and how to get your hands on them.

The Set Features 100 Unique Cards

Firstly, the Disney100 Topps chrome card set features over 100 incredible cards, each paying homage to a fan favorite character.

Some of these characters include Mickey, Minnie, Buzz Lightyear, and Donald Duck. There are even some old-school favorites, like Oswald the Rabbit. The cards have been designed beautifully and it’s clear that they’ve been created with nostalgic collectors in mind.

In terms of pull rates and rarities, the set includes Superfractor and Rare Parallel cards, alongside insert pieces, numbered Rares, Dual Autos, and Quad Autos. The Dual and Quad Autos feature multiple characters (like the Quad Auto shown above) and they’re sure to go down a treat with fans who enjoy meeting the characters at the theme parks.

The best thing about this set is that there’s a wonderful level of variety to the designs. There aren’t any cards that look identical- they’ve all got a unique flavor to them and represent the spirit of each character well, which is perfect for a Disney100 celebration.

The Cards Are Available Via Topps (But They’re Already Sold Out)

Before we look at the available products for this set, it is important to note that this release has already sold out. The news has only just broken about the collection, and collectors have already got their hands on the stock.

It’s unclear whether a restock will be happening, but it’s possible- big collections like this are always a hit with fans and restocks are common around the festive period.

The only product that we’ve seen going for these cards is a Hobby Box on the official Topps site. The Hobby Box contains 18 individual packs of 4 cards, with the following pull rates:

  • 1 ‘Off The Page’ insert, like the Oswald the Rabbit card shown above
  • 2 ‘Stitch In Costume’ inserts
  • 3 ‘Iconic Moments’ inserts, featuring legendary Disney moments from history
  • 4 numbered Parallel cards

Alongside these official pull rates, fans can hunt down special Platinum Character cards and 23 numbered ‘Mickey and Friends’ cards. There are also the Dual and Quad Auto cards mentioned above, with the autographs from characters.

If you’re hoping to get your hands on these cards, you’ll need to keep an eye out for resellers. Make sure to shop around and don’t just buy the first one you see. Prices are likely to spike then dip, so be mindful when shopping.
