Everything You Need to Know About UVS Games Right Now

If you’ve been reading our articles for a while now, you’ll know that the Sleeve No Card Behind team are big fans of the UniVersus collectible card game. We recently put out an article about their upcoming Attack on Titan launch, which looks incredible so far.

If you’re unfamiliar with UniVersus, it’s a CCG made by the team at UVS Games. It features characters from all sorts of franchises – like My Hero Academia and Attack on Titan – and allows fans to play them off against each other in epic battles.

There have been some exciting announcements from UVS Games recently, with new UniVersus releases and sneak peeks for upcoming launches on the way. We’ve gathered everything you need to know here – including release dates and upcoming products.

New Card Art Previews Have Been Revealed

There are plenty of exciting releases coming up for the UniVersus community, and sneak previews of new alternate art cards have just been revealed.

These are for Challenger Series cards that feature primary and secondary characters from both Cowboy Bebop and Trigun Stampede – some of which you can see in the cover photo for this article, and others which you can see in the image below.

As you can see, the art for these cards is vibrant and high-quality, and they’re sure to have a massive impact on the UniVersus competitive scene, too. These cards will help give fans even more options for deck-building.

Speaking of decks, both Challenger Series releases mentioned here will include two pre-made decks. These decks will be tournament-ready, with gorgeous character cards and a Collector’s Booster Pack, too. UniVersus Collector’s Booster Packs contain 6 foil cards and feature stunning alternate artwork.

Interestingly, these decks will be mechanically unique and only available through the Challenger Series. They’re a worthwhile pick-up for both collectors and competitive players. 

A New IP Is Joining the UniVersus Line-Up

Alongside these exciting previews and the aforementioned Attack on Titan release, there’s another brand new IP that’s joining the UniVersus roster.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament is a dark and engaging manga series, created by the talented Yoshihiro Togashi. The story is centered around the main character Yusuke Urameshi, who ends up becoming a Spirit Detective after he dies.

This particular release is a local card store/hobby shop exclusive, and it’ll be dropping in most locations on the 23rd of February next year.

There will also be release events on the 23rd in participating stores, where you can take part in matches, win promo cards, and potentially win a victory-stamped promo card, a playmat, and an invitation to the online Yu Yu Hakusho Wish Tournament, too. 

Fans will be able to pre-order Booster Boxes at their local stores right now, which include 24 Booster Packs with 12 cards apiece. Every single Booster Pack contains:

• A character card
• A reprint from the original Yu Yu Hakusho set
• 10 cards of varying rarities (One Rare/Ultra Rare/Secret Rare, 3 Uncommons, and 6 Uncommons)
