Something that’s great about being a Pokémon TCG fan is that there’s always something new to look forward to. Aside from Yu-Gi-Oh!, the Pokémon TCG release schedule is one of the most packed release schedules in the world of trading cards and collectables.

It’s not just with cards, either. While there are still plenty of great cards to look forward to this year, along with seasonal items like the Holiday Calendar, there are also other drops to get hyped about as a Pokémon fan. One of these has just been announced by The Pokémon Center, and it’s a drop featuring a wide variety of new merchandise.

Here’s what you need to know about the latest merch reveal from The Pokémon Company Japan, including release dates and product summaries.

Most Items Will Be Coming Out In October

Fans can expect to see the new merchandise on the 27th of October this year in Japan. There will not be an international launch for this set of items.

We’re sure to see some merchandise dropping for Paradox Rift in other locations as we get closer to that release date, though. Paradox Rift is one of the most anxiously awaited sets of the year, and there are sure to be more deck boxes, card sleeves, and playmats to pick up.

There Are Plenty Of Exciting New Items

The items in this new launch have been made to promote the upcoming Japanese Pokémon sets Ancient Roar and Future Flash. From what we’ve seen so far, these sets are striking and feature some incredible Paradox Pokémon. The merchandise fits this wonderfully.

Fans can expect to see the following items in this merchandise drop:

  • Deck Sleeves. There will be several sets of 64 deck sleeve packs available. The Pokémon that fans can expect to see featured on these include Iron Valiant, Roaring Moon, and Maushold. There will be a Mela set, too.
  • Premium Deck Sleeves. There will be two different finishes available for the premium 64 deck sleeve packs. There will be matte versions available featuring Iron Moth and Slither Wing, and there will be gloss versions featuring Metal Tera type Skeledirge and Aegislash.
  • Deck Boxes. Several standard deck boxes will be available in this launch, featuring Roaring Moon, Iron Valiant, Mela, Maushold, and Metal Tera type Skeledirge.
  • Double Deck Boxes. A unique double deck box will be available alongside the standard deck boxes, featuring the Pokémon Iron Moth and Slither Wing.
  • Card Binders. As mentioned earlier, there will be some gorgeous card binders available. They will feature Iron Valiant and Roaring Moon.
  • Playmats. Finally, there will be a premium rubber playmat available in this launch, featuring the fan-favorite family Maushold.

As you can see, this launch looks incredibly varied and exciting. There’s a lot to love, both for competitive players who want to keep their cards organized and for collectors who want bigger storage options.

It’s important to highlight that this is a Japanese launch. If you’re not based in Japan, you’ll need to find an online Japanese retailer to ship you these items. It’s well worth the effort, as these items look like a must-have for collectors who want to add extra flair to their hoard.

It’ll be exciting to see whether there are any further merchandise drops as we get closer to the holiday season. The Pokémon Company is always great at capitalizing on seasonal events, and there’s the potential for some great products to drop after Paradox Rift.
