Pokémon TCG Combined Powers Release Date

Combined Powers Pokemon TCG Set Classic Pokemon Cards Blurred Lugia Background

We put out a post recently about all the upcoming Pokémon TCG sets that we can expect to see in 2024- but there’s already another one to add to the roster.

Recently confirmed, the Combined Powers: Premium Collection is dropping in February next year. From what we’ve seen so far, the set looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun for both collectors and competitive players.

It’s not just a new set that will be dropping, though. Were you disappointed by the price of the Pokémon Classic set earlier this year? If so, you’ll be happy to know that some of the TCG Classic cards will be coming out in this set. It’s a chance to get your hands on the exclusive cards without breaking the bank.

Here’s everything you need to know about Combined Powers, including what we know so far about the release date and contents of the Premium Collection.

Combined Powers Will Come Out In February

First things first, the specific release date for the Combined Powers Premium Collection has not been officially announced yet. A release date window has, though.

We can expect to see the Combined Powers: Premium Collection being released in most locations during late February next year

There’s already been a lot of incredibly exciting announcements and rumors circulating in the Pokémon community about what’s coming out next year and it’s fair to say that 2024 could be even busier than 2023. There’s Paldean Fates coming in January and there should be plenty of amazing releases in March, too.

The Collection Looks Like Great Value For Money

While the precise release date is not available yet (and by extension, pre-orders are not open), we do have access to a list of what will be inside the box. The Combined Powers: Premium Collection will contain:

  • A foil card with Mr. Mime on it
  • An oversized foil ex card with Lugia
  • Three foil cards (Lugia ex, Ho-Oh ex, and Suicune ex)
  • Three foil Pokémon Tool cards
  • Eleven Pokémon Booster Packs

The Booster Packs will be fairly standard ones, with 10 regular cards apiece and a VSTAR token or a Basic Energy card in the mix as well.

The cards shown off in the official product photos look incredibly beautiful. It’s important to note that the promotional cards in this set (like the Mr. Mime foil) will not be eligible for tournament play in any official setting.

As reported here, the Combined Powers: Premium Collection should be retailing for £60/$76 USD/$103 CAD in most locations. Make sure to check out your favorite online store closer to the time as there may be pre-order deals. It’s likely pre-orders will open towards the beginning of the New Year.

It’s exciting to see that Pokémon TCG Classic cards will be available outside of the main collection. The main collection is wonderful, but it’s not exactly accessible in terms of price for a lot of fans. This Premium Collection is still somewhat pricey, but it offers a lot more value for money and excitement.
